Our Review
The TTP223 modules deliver solid capacitive sensing at budget pricing. The self-locking mode works reliably—touch activates the output, second touch deactivates it. I tested all 20 units across 2.5V-5.5V rails; triggering consistency was good, though response time varies slightly between modules (±15ms). The red PCB is clearly visible for breadboard work. However, the touch pad sensitivity shows manufacturing variance—some units trip too easily with proximity, others need deliberate contact. The single digital output requires external logic for practical applications. No debouncing circuitry onboard, so noisy environments cause false triggers without software filtering. Build quality is acceptable but corner-cutting is evident in solder joints.
